While fame brings perks like wealth, red carpet events, and mingling with the elite, it also comes with public scrutiny and judgment—a reality Paris Hilton has faced throughout her time in the spotlight. Recently, however, the criticism took an especially cruel turn when internet trolls targeted her baby son, Phoenix Barron.
The reality star and entrepreneur found herself in the uncomfortable position of having to defend her 9-month-old son after receiving negative comments on social media regarding the size of his head.
Paris, known for her confidence and resilience, didn’t hold back in standing up for her child.
She and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed Phoenix earlier this year through a surrogate, marking their first child together. (Reum also has a daughter, Evie, from a previous relationship.) The couple has been enjoying the highs and navigating the challenges of new parenthood with love and devotion.
During a recent family trip to New York, Paris shared a photo of herself holding Phoenix, but the comments section quickly turned toxic. People began making hurtful remarks about Phoenix’s head size, with comments like “Man got a lot of thoughts up there” and “I heard this baby was created in a lab. And she didn’t carry it.”
In response, Paris expressed her frustration with the cruel remarks: “There are some sick people in this world. My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course, he has been to a doctor. He just has a large brain.”
She added that her family is completely smitten with Phoenix, saying, “[My parents] are just so obsessed with him. I’m always calling my mom and my sister [Nicky Hilton] for advice, and I’m really lucky to have such a big support group.”
This incident is a stark reminder that even celebrities are not immune to online hate, and children should always be off-limits to such negativity. Paris’ fierce defense of her son reflects the unwavering love and protection she feels as a mother.
