Lady Gaga Puts Her Unique Spin on Horror with American Horror Story: Hotel
Lady Gaga is bringing her signature flair to the horror genre. Arriving on the set of American Horror Story: Hotel on Thursday, the pop icon made a striking impression in a revealing scarlet outfit.
The 29-year-old star, making her acting debut, didn’t hold back as she donned a daring open skirt and crop top combination. As she moved, she revealed her flesh-colored underwear, ensuring that her entrance was nothing short of unforgettable.
Balancing effortlessly in towering clear perspex heels, Gaga turned heads as she strode onto the set, her crew in tow. The wide strides showcased her practical choice of knickers, perfectly suited to the high slit of her flowing skirt. Complementing the skirt was a matching plunging crop top, worn braless and offering glimpses from the front and sides as her long blonde hair cascaded down her back.
Playing the role of “The Countess,” a wealthy social doyenne who runs the fictional Hotel Cortez in downtown Los Angeles, Gaga adds her eclectic and sometimes eerie style to the character. This role is another avenue for the chart-topping artist to express herself, blending elements of art, fashion, and personality much like her real-life persona.
The part, which she reportedly requested from the show’s creator Ryan Murphy, is a perfect fit for the queen of eccentricity. Murphy described the character as being “consumed with art, fashion, and people,” echoing Gaga’s own interests and style.
Gaga has previously appeared in cameos in films like Machete Kills, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and Muppets Most Wanted. However, her involvement in American Horror Story: Hotel marks her most significant acting role to date.
Expressing her excitement on Twitter, Gaga wrote, “I’m so proud to be a part of such a talented group of friends. Thank you for welcoming me into your family of absurdity.”
With her unique touch and undeniable presence, Lady Gaga is sure to leave an indelible mark on the world of horror with her role in American Horror Story: Hotel.
