Jennifer Lopez delivered some disappointing news to her fans this week.
The singer announced on her website, OntheJLo, that her “This is Me…Live” Tour, scheduled for this summer, has been canceled. “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends,” a statement from Live Nation representatives read.
J Lo also shared a heartfelt message with her fans. “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”
She added, “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
Lopez’s tour was set to kick off in June and travel through several North American cities until August. Her ninth studio album, “This is Me… Now,” was released in February.
According to TMZ, there were early concerns about weak ticket sales in May. However, sources confirm that ticket sales had improved, and this was not the reason for the cancellation.
In recent months, rumors about her and Ben Affleck divorcing have been circulating. Reports suggest that the couple no longer lives together, with Affleck moving out of their Beverly Hills home into a rental in Brentwood.
Despite this, they have been seen together in public. TMZ reported on Friday that the pair were seen holding hands after attending one of Ben’s daughter’s high school graduation. However, they both appeared tense, left separately, and returned to their respective residences.
Neither Lopez nor Affleck has publicly addressed the state of their marriage.
