Cher has publicly defended her boyfriend, Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, following a brawl involving Tyga and Travis Scott’s crews in Cannes. The music icon took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express her pride in Edwards’ actions.
As reported by The Shade Room, entourages of rappers Travis Scott and Tyga were involved in an altercation in Cannes, France. While neither the entertainers nor their management confirmed the incident initially, a viral video suggested a scuffle between the two rappers. However, it was later clarified that Tyga was not involved in the fight. Several people tried to intervene to break up the chaos.
It was revealed that Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, a member of Tyga’s crew, was one of the participants in the brawl. Cher recently wrote on social media, “I’m proud of Alexander. He didn’t start the fight against 2 men… He finished it. Gotta love him.”
When asked about the fight by TMZ, Edwards quipped that his bodyguard “didn’t have to work that night.” He described the incident as “a healthy fade,” stating, “It is what it is. It went how it went, and that’s it.” Edwards emphasized that he never looks for a fight but will always “protect myself and my people.” He added that he had no issues with Travis Scott and harbored “no hard feelings.” When asked if he had a message for the ‘Out West’ rapper and his crew, Edwards said, “They got the message.”
The cameraman also asked if Cher was upset about his involvement in the altercation. Edwards responded, “Hell naw.” He added that Cher is supportive of his choices, stating, “Whatever I’m with, my b**** with it too.”
