A clubgoer initially made the claim, sparking a flurry of responses. A self-proclaimed Toronto DJ shared a screenshot of a text message suggesting that the DJ wasn’t actually kicked out. Instead, a few patrons allegedly pressured him to avoid playing Kendrick Lamar tracks.
Another source also denied the claim, referencing the same text message and another unnamed source, both asserting that no such ejection took place. However, video footage from that night appears to capture a confrontation, with someone repeatedly shouting “get him out” and “fuck this guy,” adding to the controversy surrounding the incident.
