In his original audition, Wines performed the iconic Queen anthem, “We Will Rock You,” capturing the attention of Simon Cowell and the other judges. Now, he is preparing for the next stage of the competition, which will take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Tuesday, August 22nd. Wines stumbled upon the America’s Got Talent application after a conversation with his 16-year-old student, Maya, who was struggling with nerves before an upcoming concert. Empathizing with Maya’s anxiety, he decided to take the leap himself.
“I wanted to show her that even teachers get nervous sometimes,” Wines shared. “I put myself in her shoes and decided to face my own fears.”
