Husband Installs Hidden Cameras After Growing Suspicious of Wife’s Male Friend Visits
A husband found himself in a difficult situation when his wife, who often worked remotely, frequently had her high school ex-boyfriend over to their home. Initially, he had no objections, but a series of events raised his concerns, leading him to install hidden cameras in their living space. What followed was both shocking and heartbreaking.
The story surfaced on Reddit. Here is the first part:
Hey everyone, I know the title might sound confusing without some background. Ever since COVID started, my wife has been working from home. My job doesn’t allow for that, so I’ve been commuting to work every day. My wife has a male friend, who happens to be her high school ex-boyfriend. They occasionally hang out, and I’ve met him too. He’s nice, fun, and cool, so I never had an issue with their friendship.
My wife was upfront about their history, mentioning they dated during their freshman and sophomore years of high school. They never had sex but did mess around. They reconnected as friends during their senior year when they were both seeing other people. She assured me that nothing romantic happened between them after their breakup.
When COVID started, my wife told me she’d be working from home, which I was happy about since it’s more convenient and saves on gas. She mentioned her friend would also be working from home, and they might meet up to collaborate since they work in similar fields. One day, I came home to find him there, which she had already informed me about. They both had their computers and seemed to be working hard.
For a while, everything seemed fine, but over time, I noticed they were hanging out more casually, playing games, drinking, and eating together. It felt like he was getting more attention than me, and she seemed to be having a better time with him. The final straw came when I found them on the couch, with her head in his lap while they watched TV. I waited until he left and then confronted her.
I was fuming and told her their actions were unacceptable. I felt like she was showing him more attention than me, which hurt given their past. She got upset, saying I had no right to accuse her of cheating and that they were just relaxing. She claimed it wasn’t wrong to lay her head on his lap.
For the next couple of days, he didn’t come over, but she remained distant. I apologized for my anger, but she didn’t seem to fully accept it. I then told her I didn’t want him coming over anymore.
Here is the second part:
Last week, I posted about my wife spending time at our house with her high school ex, who had been coming over to work from home with her since COVID started. Initially, I thought nothing of it, but then they began hanging out more. When I found her with her head in his lap, I had enough and told her he couldn’t come over anymore. She was upset but agreed. Many people on Reddit agreed it was sketchy.
However, I worried he might still be coming over when I wasn’t home. So, I bought and installed hidden cameras in the living room and bedroom. The first day, nothing unusual happened. But on the second day, I saw the ex come over. They started working, but he got touchy, and it escalated to them sleeping together in our bedroom. I was shocked and confronted her immediately. She denied it until I mentioned the cameras. Her face changed, and she started crying, apologizing, and trying to explain.
I told her to leave the house. We’ve talked once since then. She doesn’t want a divorce and asked if we could try couples counseling before making a final decision. I reluctantly agreed, but I’m not hopeful. I’m already contacting divorce attorneys.
PS: I discovered my wife has been sleeping with her high school ex while they were working from home.
