Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck showcased a united front amidst swirling divorce rumors on Wednesday. The 54-year-old singer and the 51-year-old actor were seen separately entering the elementary school graduation ceremony of Affleck’s 12-year-old son, Samuel, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Affleck was accompanied by his mother, Chris Anne Boldt, while Lopez walked in alone. Notably, both stars were wearing their wedding rings.
Jennifer Garner, 52, who also shares daughters Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15, with Affleck, was present at the graduation ceremony. After the event, the family, including Garner and Affleck’s mom, gathered for lunch at Baltaire Restaurant in Brentwood.

This outing follows ongoing speculation about Lopez and Affleck’s relationship. Recently, the couple listed their $60 million Southern California home just 13 months after purchasing it, with Lopez reportedly looking at homes on her own. Despite these rumors, the pair have been publicly supportive of each other. They attended Violet’s graduation party together at the end of May, bringing a basket of gifts and both wearing their rings.
Sources have revealed that while Lopez and Affleck have been living separate lives, they have not officially separated. One source told ET in mid-June, “Jen and Ben have been living separate lives but have not officially separated yet. At this point, they are just doing their own thing. They went into their relationship very optimistic and thought things could change, but they haven’t.”
Lopez has been leaning on her family during this transitional period, particularly her mom, sisters, and kids. Affleck, on the other hand, has been relying on close friends, including Matt Damon, and focusing on his work and family. A source shared, “Ben is sad about it all but focused on his work, being a great dad, and co-parenting well with Jennifer Garner. He has been leaning on Matt Damon and his close circle of guy friends. Matt is always in Ben’s corner and is supportive of him.”
Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in July 2022 after rekindling their romance during the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly two decades after their initial split just days before their 2003 wedding. They reunited in February 2021 after respective marriages to Garner and Marc Anthony.
In May, sources told ET that Lopez and Affleck were “continuing to take space from each other,” noting the couple’s struggle to meet each other’s needs. Affleck has found it challenging to keep up with Lopez’s busy schedule. “Jen has been feeling pressure with all her work commitments and Ben is more chill and doesn’t care about Hollywood and the stuff that comes along with it,” a source shared. “Ben feels like Jen has a hard time feeling satisfied and that’s one of the issues they’re facing,” another source added. “Ben is one of the only people who feels comfortable enough to be honest and real with Jen. It’s part of why Jen loves him, but also why she’s upset with him.”
