Johnny Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin on “General Hospital,” tragically died after being shot on Saturday! VIDEO!!!

Johnny Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin on “General Hospital,” tragically died after being shot on Saturday. The 37-year-old actor was shot after interrupting three suspects allegedly attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his vehicle, according to his mother, Scarlett Wactor, who spoke with KABC-TV Los Angeles.

The incident occurred around 3:25 a.m. PT on Saturday, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department. Scarlett Wactor recounted that her son had just finished work at a rooftop bar when he noticed someone near his car. Initially, he believed his car was being towed.

As Johnny approached, one of the masked suspects opened fire. Scarlett Wactor emphasized that police informed her that her son did nothing wrong. The suspects fled the scene, and Johnny was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Scarlett Wactor described her son as a “beautiful soul” in a statement to ABC News, highlighting his kindness and zest for life. “There are not enough words to tell what a beautiful soul he was. He was a kind, loving son and brother, he lived life to the fullest. He set goals and went after them,” she expressed, adding, “There is a very large hole in our hearts and lives.”

The LAPD Central Division Homicide is investigating the case.

Johnny Wactor had a recurring role on “General Hospital” from 2020 to 2022 and appeared in other TV series, including “Criminal Minds,” “Siberia,” and “Westworld.” The official “General Hospital” Instagram account called him “one of a kind” and expressed the entire team’s heartbreak over his passing. “He was truly one of a kind and a pleasure to work with each and every day. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones during this difficult time,” the statement read.

Wactor’s manager also shared his grief in a statement to ABC News, describing Johnny as a “kind soul, a talented actor, and an inspiration to those around him.” He praised Johnny’s professionalism and passion for his craft, adding, “I am proud to say I was Johnny’s manager and friend. He will always be cherished in my memory.”

Sofia Mattson, who plays Sasha Gilmore on “General Hospital,” paid tribute to her former co-star on Instagram, writing, “We will miss you so much Johnny. One of the most incredible humans I’ve ever met.”

The news of Johnny Wactor’s tragic death was first reported by TMZ.
