Former glamour model Kelly Brook recently opened up about her perspective on the fashion industry, admitting that she feels most attractive when she’s not wearing anything at all. At 44, the beloved model, who has extensive experience on the catwalk, shared her preference for being in her birthday suit, citing issues she has observed within the fashion industry.
Kelly has long been an advocate for body positivity, often speaking out about the harsh criticism she has faced over her curvaceous figure. The television star, who is married to Jeremy Parisi, recalled an incident where a paparazzo once told her to “breathe in” while she was posing on a red carpet. Despite being a target of body-shaming, Kelly maintains a positive view of her body and frequently posts glamorous bikini photos online.
In a recent interview with Metro.co.uk, she expressed her preference for modeling naked while promoting her new podcast “Life Gains with Big Narstie.” She told the publication, “I’ll just walk around naked with a feather boa.”
The Heart Radio host revealed that she often feels let down by clothes, attributing this to their poor fit rather than her body. “I look in the mirror naked, I love myself. And then I put on clothes and I’m like, well, that doesn’t show me at my best,” she said. “I always say I look better naked anyway. I just think the clothes are letting me down and that’s not my fault. That’s the fault of designers; they’re not cutting it right.”
The fashion and modeling industry has faced significant criticism for its lack of inclusivity regarding different body types. Actresses, in particular, are under immense pressure to maintain a specific size throughout their careers. Celebrities like former X Factor star Sharon Osbourne and Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams have shared their struggles with weight, with many turning to weight loss medications like Ozempic.
Recently, Kelly Brook confirmed her participation in the new series of “Celebrity Race Across The World.” She and her husband will compete against “Ted Lasso” star Kola Bokini and BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills with his fiancé Sam Vaughan. An insider told The Sun, “Kelly has traveled all over the world with Jeremy – and she’s really competitive so she’ll be brilliant TV. Both Kola and Scott are fans of the show and jumped at the chance to take part.”
Kelly and Jeremy, who were married in a private ceremony in Arpino, Italy last year after dating for seven years, have gradually started working together as a presenting duo.
