Miley Cyrus has been known for her bold fashion choices, often dressing in outfits that seem older than her years. This month, as she approaches her 18th birthday on November 23, she will soon be able to wear all the see-through, leather, and low-cut outfits she likes without sparking as much controversy.
Last night, the soon-to-be 18-year-old continued to push boundaries by performing in a sheer white dress that left little to the imagination. During her performance on the German TV show “Wetten, dass…?”, Miley wore a revealing white tulle dress that was entirely see-through, except for a design that slightly covered her stomach and chest. Underneath, she wore a flesh-colored body stocking, but her underwear was still clearly visible as she sang her new single, “Who Owns My Heart.”
To complement her provocative outfit, Miley performed a seductive dance routine with her backup dancers before joining actor Denzel Washington for a chat to promote his new film “Unstoppable.” Miley returned to Madrid today after her brief visit to Germany, where she is set to perform at the EMA Awards.
Miley hinted that her performance at the EMA Awards would have an “Angels and Demons” theme. She explained to MTV News during rehearsals that the concept revolves around the idea of constant temptation in the world.
The pop star has been in Madrid ahead of the EMA Awards and held a fan event on Friday. She was later seen at a bar with friends, where she was criticized in the US for drinking a Corona beer, although she was not breaking any laws in Spain, where the legal drinking age is 18.
Miley is also dealing with her parents’ public split, with allegations that her mother, Tish, had an affair with Bret Michaels. Despite the family drama, Miley expressed her desire to spend quality time with her family for her milestone birthday. She plans to have a fun party and then possibly take a vacation with her family, as they need time together.
On top of her parents’ separation, Miley’s relationship with her on-and-off boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, appears to be “off” again. Liam, who met Miley in June 2009 on the set of their film “The Last Song,” has been enjoying attention in his home country of Australia at the Melbourne Cup races this week. The couple dated throughout filming but ended their relationship in August. Although they seemed to have rekindled their romance in September, they have been spending more time apart lately.
A source told People magazine that their on-and-off relationship is currently off, but there’s always a possibility of them getting back together. Another source added that there was no drama; the relationship just ran its course, and they remain good friends.
