In 2016, Priest Gerald Johnson experienced a heart attack that led to his near-death experience. According to Johnson, he caught a glimpse of hell, and what he encountered was far from what he expected. Instead of the anticipated heavy metal often associated with ‘torture’ music, Johnson revealed that the sounds filling this eerie place were quite different. In a TikTok video, he recounted how the music echoing through the depths was by Rihanna, specifically her popular track “Umbrella.” He emphasized the severity of the place by stating he “wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy,” before detailing his vivid experience…Read More!
“My spirit left my physical body, and I initially thought I was ascending,” Johnson said. “I believed I had done much good in my life, helped many people, and made decisions that aligned with godly principles.” Contrary to his expectations, he found himself descending instead of rising. “I ended up going down to a place where music was omnipresent, and it was the same music you hear on Earth. But instead of being performed by entertainers, it was demons who were singing it.” Continuing his account, Johnson noted, “It featured some of the same lyrics we hear here on Earth. I came to realize that many of the lyrics and music we enjoy are actually inspired by demons. The purpose of every lyric in that place is to torment you, reminding you that you failed to worship God through music while on Earth.” Among the songs he heard, demons used Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” to torment the souls condemned there. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Rihanna’s fans are eagerly waiting for her next album, dubbed ‘R9,’ a follow-up eagerly anticipated since her last release in 2016. Rihanna has continually teased the album, boosting fans’ hopes by suggesting it would be out by the end of 2023. However, as summer 2024 rolls around, the album is still unreleased. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight earlier this month, Rihanna expressed her readiness to return to the studio. “Now, I’m prepared to go back in the studio. […] I’m gonna start,” she declared. The mother of two also noted that she’s “starting over” with the album but won’t be completely discarding the songs she has already created.
