Raven-Symoné recently claimed that the “rumors” surrounding Diddy’s alleged “shenanigans” are not new in the entertainment industry. According to her, such stories have circulated for quite some time, suggesting that the issues now coming to light have been part of Hollywood’s behind-the-scenes chatter for years.
Raven-Symoné and her wife, Miranda Maday, are not buying Diddy’s recent apology. Last weekend, the disgraced mogul responded to a surfaced video of him assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway. Raven is among the latest celebrities to comment on the 2016 incident and Sean Combs’ response.
During a new episode of their show, “The Best Podcast Ever,” Symoné claimed that Hollywood has long been whispering about Diddy’s “shenanigans.” She emphasized that the viral assault video is just one part of a larger pattern, referencing the federal raids on his homes in March.
“There have always been rumors in the industry about his shenanigans, and it’s always been hush-hush, swept under the rug,” the actress said. “But now, people are starting to see it.”
Raven-Symoné, who has been in the entertainment industry for about 35 years since her start on “The Cosby Show,” discussed Diddy’s apology with her wife. They both felt it was not genuine. Miranda called it “the most insincere video,” while Raven pointed out that his body language was telling. Miranda added that Diddy seemed apologetic not for his abusive behavior but because he got caught.
“I think he’s sorry that he got caught,” Raven-Symoné said, agreeing with her wife.
Raven also mentioned a body language analysis of Diddy’s apology video, noting the direction of his head nods. She expressed uncertainty about what exactly Sean Combs was apologizing for.
The couple also discussed the power dynamics of the situation, the future of Diddy’s musical legacy, and Raven’s hopes for Cassie.
It’s been less than a week since CNN shared the now-viral video of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs dragging, kicking, and throwing things at Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office acknowledged the “extremely disturbing” footage but is not pursuing charges against Combs due to the statute of limitations expiring and no current case being presented by the LAPD.
Despite this, reactions to the surveillance footage and his subsequent apologies continue to emerge. His former bodyguard confirmed his alleged repeated abuse of Cassie. REVOLT has distanced itself from Diddy again, following similar actions in November after Cassie’s now-settled lawsuit and earlier this year after the federal raids on his homes.
