During the Welcome to Rockville festival, Urista announced to the crowd that she needed to urinate and couldn’t make it to the bathroom. “I gotta p.e.e, and I can’t make it to the bathroom,” she said. “So we might as well make a show out of it.”

Urista, 36, then invited a male fan on stage and instructed him to lie down. She proceeded to squat over his face and urinate while performing Rage Against the Machine’s “Wake Up.” Before the incident, Urista allegedly told the audience, “Get my man with the can on his head ready, ’cause we’re going to bring him onstage and I’ma p–s in this motherf–ker’s mouth.”
Daytona Beach Police spokesman Messod Bendayan confirmed that authorities received a complaint about the incident via the department’s Facebook account and instructed the informant to file a report. Bendayan noted that the criminal investigations division is still probing the incident. Indecent exposure in the area is punishable by up to a year in jail or a $1,000 fine.

The footage sparked a significant backlash on social media, with Urista being described as “pure trash” by some and the act being labeled as “madness” and “wrong.” One woman wrote, “That would count as indecent exposure and a criminal offense surely?” Meanwhile, others found the act entertaining, with one man praising Urista on Twitter, calling it “the most punk rock thing I’ve seen in a long time.”
Brass Against, which is set to open for Tool on an upcoming international tour, apologized for Urista’s behavior on Twitter: “We had a great time last night at Welcome to Rockville. Sophia got carried away. That’s not something the rest of us expected, and it’s not something you’ll see again at our shows. Thanks for bringing it last night, Daytona.”
Despite the controversy, Urista reportedly cleaned up the stage herself after the performance. The incident left many shocked and appalled, but it also attracted new fans who appreciated the boldness of the act.
