Taylor Swift Has Another New Song Coming Soon

Taylor Swift is right in the middle of one of her most successful periods ever. The powerhouse just dropped her new album The Tortured Poets Department, which is still dominating charts in the U.S. and around the world. As her latest single begins to step down on the weekly rankings, the singer is already getting ready to release a new tune.

Gracie Abrams recently announced her sophomore album The Secret of Us. The set is expected to arrive on June 21, about a year and a half after her debut full-length Good Riddance dropped.

As she revealed that her new album is done and almost ready for people to hear, Abrams also let the world in on a very exciting secret. The project includes just one collaboration, and it’s with none other than Swift herself.Swift will duet with Abrams on a tune titled “Us,” which is featured on The Secret of Us. Whether it will be a single or not hasn’t been revealed, but chances are high that the still-rising talent will want to leverage her collaboration with the biggest musical star on the planet at the moment and parlay it into a possible smash.“Us” will likely mark Swift’s first new bit of music since her new album. The Tortured Poets Department sent all 31 songs featured on its tracklist to the Hot 100, and many of those cuts are still charting today, several weeks after they arrived. Whether she’ll produce anything new between now and when her Abrams track is expected isn’t known…though it’s likely she’ll let her new works continue to perform well without interruption. This week marks the first that “Fortnight,” the lead single from The Tortured Poets Department isn’t running the show on the Hot 100. The tune opened at the tally with ease, and then held there for a second consecutive frame. This time around, Swift and her collaboration partner Post Malone have been forced from the highest rung by Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” which is part of his ongoing feud with Drake. That cut debuts at No. 1 this week on the Hot 100.

“Us” is sure to be a big win for Abrams, thanks largely to Swift’s presence. The tune may mark her first placement on the Hot 100 as a lead artist. So far, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has only appeared on the competitive tally once, and it was alongside Noah Kahan on his track “Everywhere, Everything,” which rose as high as No. 79.

Abrams was one of several openers for Swift on her The Eras Tour. She first played to huge crowds before the superstar came out on stage last April. She’s slated to return to the road with Swift this coming fall following Paramore’s months-long tenure when the trek returns to America.
