This 80s Star Went from Modeling to Music: Here’s How She Looks 40 Years Later

Samantha Fox, born on April 15, 1966, in Mile End, London, rose to fame in the 1980s. Growing up as the eldest of three in a close-knit family, she showed early talent in music and drama, participating in school plays and local talent shows. Her journey into the spotlight began at 16 when her mother entered her into a modeling contest for The Sunday People newspaper. Winning the competition led to her becoming one of the most famous Page 3 models in The Sun, known for her photogenic charm.

Transitioning from modeling to music, Samantha signed with Jive Records and released her debut single, “Touch Me (I Want Your Body),” in 1986. The song became a global hit, establishing her as a pop star. Her debut album, “Touch Me,” featured hits like “Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)” and “Hold On Tight.”

Samantha also ventured into acting and television, appearing in various films and TV shows, and became a popular figure on reality TV, starring in shows like “Celebrity Big Brother” and “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!”

In her personal life, Samantha came out as bisexual in 2003 and has been a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. She married her long-term partner, Linda Olsen, in 2020. Beyond her entertainment career, Samantha is dedicated to philanthropy, particularly in cancer research and LGBTQ+ causes, using her platform to support various charities.
